Floating around traffic for super-fast food deliveries

A Domino delivery man puts the hover through it's paces to test if it is as road-safe as normal scooters

PIZZA delivery workers in Wirral have found a futuristic way of beating the traffic - they float round it!

The humble scooter's days appear to be numbered as the favourite choice for fast food take-away drivers may become the hover board.

Domino's Pizza has been working with Airboard Europe to develop a vehicle that is road safe and efficient.

And the Bromborough franchise of the international chain was given use of the unusual mode of transport for a night to give it a test run.

Manager Paul Massey said: "There was a bit of chuckle in the neighbourhood as the delivery man zoomed up the path of one of our customers with her order.

"It looked like a giant floating lawnmower. All the neighbours came out to see what was going on, it was quite a funny sight but great fun.

"It has a lot of potential. It would be great if there was heavy traffic or bad weather, but I think it will be a few years before we get rid of the scooters."
