ARMED police last night arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of two women whose dismembered bodies were found in Liverpool.
Mark Corner, 26, was taken away by police from his parents' home in Dunluce Street, Walton, after a 15-minute stand-off with officers.
The arrest was made after bin bags containing the body parts of two women were discovered in an alley-way off St Domingo Vale, Everton.
One set of remains is believed to be 25-year-old mother-of-one Pauline Stephen. The second set of body parts has yet to be identified.

Miss Stephen, a prostitute, was reported missing 10 days ago after she did not return to her home in Skelmersdale.
Her car was discovered in St Domingo Vale on Friday and she is believed to have been working in the area on the night of her disappearance.
Clothing belonging to Miss Stephen was found there on Saturday, before police discovered the women's remains on Sunday.
