"It really is a great idea to take the treat-ment to the staff, they are so busy they don't have time to come off the ward.
"These are people who spend their working lives giving and it's nice to give them something back.
"Even just a 10 minute session puts them in a relaxed frame of mind and enables them to cope so much better with the stress of the job.
"I'll work on whatever problems areas they have, back, shoulder and neck, or hands and arms."
The sessions, part of the hospital's Improving Working Lives strategy, were tried first on Nurses' Day when beauty therapy students from Knowsley Community College came into the hospital to offer staff "pamper" sessions.
Terry Owen, the hospital's volunteer placement manager, said most staff loved the idea but did not have the time to escape from their wards.
He said: "Instead we took the treatment to them and it was a great success.
"Lynn's role is a follow-on from that, and already much appreciated by the staff who have benefited from her work."
