Anfield 'tribute' to dead chicken!

One tribute read: "RIP little boy. God will look after you now. From a mother and her family."
Another said: "To the mum of this little baby, I pray the Lord will keep you safe and well and you will come forward."
One resident told the ECHO: "All kinds of stories were going around Anfield about a dismembered baby, and that's why the flowers are being left.
"We haven't heard anything different, so everybody has assumed the worst."
Today, police again stressed the body was not a baby.
A spokesman said: "We were unable to initially identify what this thing was, but like with any suspicious death, we always cordon off the area.

"It was very small and looked human-like. Whoever has found it has been unsure what it actually was.
"The flowers are obviously the result of local gossip."
