OTHER measures proposed as part of the traffic plan for the area:
* Brunswick Street (east side of The Strand): Revocation of pay & display parking bays to be replaced with 24-hour waiting restrictions along both sides of Brunswick Street from its junction with Drury Lane to the junction with The Strand.
* Revocation of Taxi Stand Order - Mann Island. The revocation of this order is required to remove an obstruction to traffic movement on approach to the traffic signals at Mann Island/Goree.
* Georges Dockway: Proposed 24-hour waiting restriction.
* Proposed no left-turn from Strand Street into Mann Island, with Brunswick Street and Georges Dockway acting as an alternative circulatory system to access Mann Island.
* No right turn from The Strand into Mann Island. The introduction of this order is required to prevent any vehicles from accessing Mann Island from The Strand travelling in a south westerly direction.
* Closure of gap in central reservation at the junction of The Strand and Water Street. This will prevent vehicles accessing Water Street (west side) from Water Street (east side). It will also prevent vehicles travelling in a south easterly direction from gaining access from Georges Dock Gates into Water Street (west side) and vehicles travelling from Water Street (east side) from turning right north bound. With the introduction of a new traffic signal junction at Brunswick Street, vehicles will be able to perform manoeuvres to gain access to Water Street and travel in a northerly direction.
* Existing 8am-6pm prohibition of waiting order will be revoked and replaced with the proposed 24-hour prohibition.
* Orders will be introduced to ban U-turns along The Strand, Strand Street and Wapping.
