Father's plight after BB gun attack
DAVID Hazel faces the rest of his life in a wheelchair after being shot in the back by a BB gun.
The father-of-three has undergone seven months of treatment in Southport hospital spinal unit.
Mr Hazel, 35, of Houghton Road, Woodchurch, will have to move to a modified house.
And today his partner Patti added her voice to those of the MPs campaigning to ban BB guns.
She said: "The impact Dave's shooting has had on us has been terrible."
Story continues
Nobody has been charged with Mr Hazel's shooting despite two arrests being made by police.
The former soldier was attacked outside his Wirral home in June as he returned home from work as a TNT driver.
Detectives believe it was a motiveless attack.
