A VETERAN campaigner for fathers' rights last night announced he was giving up activism to spend more time with his children.
Peter Molloy, who staged a protest dressed as a convict on the roof of Belle Vale police station, yesterday lost his appeal against a conviction for aggravated trespass over the incident.
The 35-year-old has been campaigning for more than six years since he founded the Liverpool branch of the controversial Fathers4Justice group.
He has been involved in some of the group's most high-profile campaigning over the years.
He was one of 200 men dressed as Santa who invaded the Lord Chancellor's Department in 2002.
And he helped bring Liverpool to a standstill in December, 2003, as one of five men who protested on the walkway over The Strand dressed as Santa.
Mr Molloy was found guilty of aggravated trespassing on the roof of Belle Vale police station on December, 2004, at Liverpool Crown Court, where the decision was upheld yesterday.
