Hundreds of Merseyside postal workers on strike

AROUND 800 postal workers went on strike in Liverpool yesterday as the latest round of industrial action got under way. No deliveries were made in the L1 to L8 postal districts as workers at the city’s postal headquarters in Copperas Hill joined the national action by the Communication Workers Union (CWU). Deliveries will be made as normal across Merseyside today as the rolling programme of industrial action affects other parts of the postal service. Full story at Liverpool Echo website - click here
