Is Liverpool actor David Morrissey the new Dr Who?

LIVERPOOL actor David Morrissey refused to scotch rumours he could be the next Doctor Who. It has already been revealed the State Of Play and Basic Instinct 2 star appears in the Christmas Day edition of the BBC sci fi series. He was pictured filming scenes kitted out in full period garb - a tan knee-length jacket and red waistcoat - in fake snow at Gloucester Cathedral in March. Last night he was interviewed by radio star Janice Long at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre at an event entitled David Morrissey In Conversation. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT During the interview he refused to confirm or deny a rumour he could be the next Doctor. Morrissey, 43, would be the third Scouse Dr Who - following in the footsteps of Tom Baker and Paul McGann.
