LIVERPOOL'S Small Animal Hospital can count Koff as the latest addition to their many success stories.
Skye the German shepherd/ collie cross, from New Brighton, was dying of an enlarged heart, when a procedure usually reserved for children was carried out at the Crown Street hospital.
A spokeswoman for Veterinary Cardiology said: "Skye probably would have lasted no longer than six months without the surgery, but should be able to lead a completely normal life now."
Grand National hopeful Youlneverwalkalone fractured his leg while running in the Aintree spectacular last year.
Thanks to experts at the University of Liverpool, who placed screws in the affected bone, he's back on his feet and could even race again.
