My son is being denied the treatment to help him walk

"Callum loves Liverpool FC and desperately wants to be like Steven Gerrardand longs to play with his friends.

"During the World Cup he was wearing his England kit and he turned to me and said 'Mummy, I can't kick a ball'.

"I want to be one of those mums who shouts at their child to get back alongside the trolley because he's been running off.

"Every child deserves the chance to run around."

The treatment would freeze Callum's calves and allow him to place his heel on the floor, allowing him to walk.

He currently gets around using awalking frame at nursery school, and could be forced into a wheelchair by the time he is a teenager.

The family had researched about the botox treatment and went to Alder Hey's Spasticity Clinic. But their hopes were dashed when a consultant told them only existing children on the programme could be funded.

The family raised £2,000 at a fundraising cabaret night event forCallum and are soon holding a James Bond charity night.

Adele added: "I know somebody who is having botox injections to stop sweating, yet my little boy can't get the treatment so he can walk."
