Peel’s Wirral Waters scheme will be bigger than the Olympics

PEEL Holdings is on the verge of submitting the largest planning application in the country as the next phase of the £4.5bn Wirral Waters project. At a closed briefing to councillors, the development company revealed the application could be submitted within six weeks or less. Wirral’s councillors were told by Peel the application was the biggest in the country, covering a larger area than the site for the London Olympics, and many members were left impressed by the scale and ambition of the scheme.
