Great places to sup a pint

SOME of the great pubs across across the region:

The Ship at Lathom, West Lancs. Pub in picturesque canalside setting that serves an extensive selection of real ale - check out the Black Cat mild - and excellent fresh hot food.

The Crow's Nest, Crosby. Traditional boozer with an extremely loyal clientele that sticks to serving fine real ale. One of the few pubs to have table service when it's not too busy.

Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Cosiest of pubs - which even has its snug intact - that again has a very loyal fan base who like their quality cask beers.

The Harp, Little Neston, Wirral. Pub in beautiful Deeside setting offering quality ale and marvellous across the estuary to the mountains of North Wales.

Peter Kavanagh's, Toxteth. Fantastically atmospheric pub full of friendly local characters, bizarre wall decorations and top quality ale.
