Scared Heart Catholic school in Crosby

A TEENAGER suffered a suspected fractured skull as he fell through his school roof at an A-level results party.

Joel Murray, aged 18, is thought to have dropped 12ft through a dome on the roof of Sacred Heart Catholic high school in Crosby.

Several students are believed to have gone on to the roof during the party, which was organised by the school to celebrate exam results, and attended by teachers and other adults .

The fall happened at about 9.45pm last Thursday.

Joel was taken to Fazakerley hospital with a suspected fractured skull.

A hospital spokeswoman today described his condition as “poorly but improving”.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to the school at 11.20pm following a report from the emergency services that a teenager had been taken to hospital after falling through a glass dome.

“It appears that there had been a party at the school and a number of people had gone out on the roof.

“There is no indication that they were drunk or acting in a boisterous manner.
