The boy added: “We have been staying in, and my mum said when it’s dark I can go next door to see my neighbour, but I’ve got to put my coat on and my hood up.”
In her first interview since going into hiding, Ms Baker said the fight with Ms Corran was over a long-running dispute.
She denied claims by the victim’s mother that Ms Corran was holding her own two-year-old son at the time.
She added: “It’s something that’s been going on for a while. My little girl and her son were not there when it happened.
“I’m sorry for what happened, but it’s not my fault for what my son did. He was protecting me. I shouldn’t be getting all these threats.”
