A toddler puts the barrel of a gun into her mouth watched by two laughing youths

A TODDLER puts the barrel of a gun into her mouth watched by two laughing youths.

In full view of shocked passers-by, and captured on a supermarket security camera, the little girl is handed a replica firearm by one of the tracksuit-clad yobs and made to point it with her arms outstretched.

As the youths look away, the girl, dressed in a pink jumper and jeans, puts the gun barrel into her mouth.

When the gun is taken off her, the pair supposed to be looking after her glance at each other and burst out laughing.

The incident happened outside the busy Asda supermarket, on Breck Road, Everton.

Police called by security staff found the youths with replica guns hidden in their clothes.

They were filmed loading and unloading the guns outside the shop before being joined by two women pushing small children in buggies.

One youth is seen picking the little girl up and playfully throwing her in the air before walking over to a nearby wall.

The security camera filmed him giving the toddler the replica gun, and captured the moment she puts it in her mouth.

Today Patti Williams, whose partner David Hazel was paralysed after being shot with a BB gun in 2004, said: “This is too shocking for words.”

Mr Hazel, the victim of an unprovoked attack outside his Wirral home, has been left permanently disabled and uses a wheelchair.

Ms Williams added: “This makes me so angry. How can these people give a baby a gun and think it is funny?

“They don’t see the consequences. David and I live with the consequences every single day.”
