Paul McCartney

PAUL McCartney has splashed out on the biggest rehearsal studio in preparation for his world tour, London's Millennium Dome.

He has reportedly paid £250,000 to hire the white elephant venue and it is thought he will rehearse there for three weeks.

The former Beatle's 14-date tour will start in May 25 in Spain and will have the largest ever outdoor video screens.

As well as a pyrotechnics display, there will be 75 speakers needing 75,000 watts of power, 80,000lb of video equipment and a huge stage set needing 18 massive cranes to move it.

It was originally thought he may be using aircraft hangars to practise in, so fans were said to be scouring the capital to try to find out where.

The tour will include Lisbon, Madrid, Prague, Gothenburg, Oslo, St Petersburg and Paris. McCartney will also headline the famous Glastonbury festival in June.
