THREE clubbers are being treated in hospital after collapsing during a night out at a Liverpool bar.
All three had been drinking at the city centre GBar early this morning when they passed out and had to be rushed to hospital.
A 23-year-old woman from Liverpool was left fighting for her life after being found unconscious inside the Eberle Street bar at 1.25am.
She was rushed to the intensive care unit at the Royal Liverpool hospital in a critical condition, but responded well to treatment and is now out of danger.
A 25-year-old woman who collapsed outside the club was also taken to hospital by paramedics, along with a 23-year-old man who fell ill two hours after leaving the bar.
Police were today hoping to question the trio to try to shed some light on their mysterious illnesses.
It is thought the investigation will centre on whether they had each taken drug overdoses or been given samples from a dangerous batch of drugs.
A Merseyside police spokeswoman said: "At this stage we don't know why the people collapsed but we are looking into the possibility it was drug-related."
Police sealed off the packed bar shortly before 2am today and took down the details of every person inside the building.
Officers will today begin questioning the revellers and bar staff about what happened inside the venue in the hours before the people collapsed.
No-one from the G Bar was available to comment.
