Big stir over gossip.com

A MISCHIEVOUS website containing rumours and gossip about senior council bosses is causing a stir at Liverpool town hall. More than 800 people are already thought to have logged onto the "blog" to read speculation about alleged goings-on by city officials. Liverpool council would not comment today on whether it had launched a probe into who is responsible for the website, Liverpool-Evil-Cabal. But the ECHO understands that town hall computers have been blocked from accessing the blog to stop staff and councillors reading it at work. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT The website, supposedly compiled by "Tony Parrish", who lists his occupation as "whistle-blower" and interests as "victory", has a humorous tone. But privately, officials are furious at its content and believe it is defamatory. Cllr Joe Anderson, leader of the opposition, said he has been aware of the blog for some time.
