Paul McCartney is reunited with the Rex acoustic guitar, the first he ever played

WITHOUT them the band that changed the face of music forever may never have happened.

But once Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison were handed guitars to play, it was not long before the Beatles were born.

Jerry Goldman, director of the Beatles Story, said: "We are thrilled to see such a high value placed on Beatles memorabilia.

"This acoustic guitar is a very special instrument as it's the guitar on which Paul learned his first chords.
