Three years is not enough for taking away my son's young life

Jason Mayze died after being repeatedly stabbed

THE heart broken mother of a boy who was stabbed to death slammed the three-year sentence his killer was told he would serve.

Takeaway worker Bosher Uddin, 37, was due to go on trial at Liverpool crown court for the murder of 16-year-old Jay-Jay Mayze, but admitted manslaughter.

Judge Gerald Clifton told him he would be jailed for a maximum of three years when he was sentenced on August 25.

Jay-Jay's mother Angie Mayze said she was disgusted with the sentence.

"That is an absolute disgrace, I can't believe it. How can he just get three years for what he's done? Drug dealers and thieves get more than that."

The court heard Uddin was working at the Balti Spice takeaway in Clock Face, St Helens, on January 13 when the incident happened.

He confronted Jay-Jay after seeing him outside the back of the shop.
