BOUNCERS were put on the door of a Liverpool library today after staff were attacked.
Community wardens were posted outside Croxteth library after it reopened for the first time since Saturday when frightened staff walked out.
Complaining of a daily barrage of abuse and violence, staff refused to return until their safety could be assured.
Discussions between the council, police and unions ended with an agreement that the two council wardens would be stationed outside the premises, part of Croxteth leisure centre, to keep an eye on youngsters and make staff and visitors feel safer.
