Two wheels beat the Big Dig gridlock

May 18 2005

Daily Post

MOTORCYCLE courier Jon Morgan is helping Liverpool's law firms beat the gridlock being caused by the city's Big Dig programme.

The city centre is undergoing £100m worth of road improvements in the run up to Capital of Culture in 2008.

As well as commuters facing delays getting to and from work, the congestion is also hindering the work of couriers taking vital legal documents and packages across the city.

Most are using vans and are getting caught up in the traffic but enterprising Mr Morgan has established Couriers North West which he claims is the only dedicated full-time motorcycle courier service in the city.

Just five weeks after starting his business, Mr Morgan has already been in great demand from legal firms in Merseyside.
