LIVERPOOL'S Big Dig is a boon to motorbike courier Jon Morgan.
Roadworks around the city makes it increasingly difficult for cars or vans to negotiate their way around.
So Jon, 30, has got on his bike and established his own city-based Couriers Northwest firm which has already proved a big hit with Liverpool's legal fraternity.
Jon said his high speed 600cc Yamaha R6 motorbike is perfect for weaving through roadworks and he can deliver important legal documents in a fraction of the time a four-wheeled competitor could.
"The Big Dig is horrendous, but the wheels of industry have to keep moving," he said.
He began his business four months ago and now boasts big clients such as Hill Dickinson and Silverbeck Rymer.
Jon said: "I started four months ago knocking on solicitors' doors and my first job led to my second when I delivered from A to B and B asked me to deliver something on their behalf."
The former Sefton council physical development officer said he is people-orientated and is passionate about bikes: "So I thought why not combine the two."
He claims to be the only year-round motorbike courier in Liverpool and is hoping a Prince's Trust grant will allow him to buy another bike and create another job.
