BOOTLE school governor Arif Dar and his family were seized by immigration officials this morning as officials prepared to throw them out of Britain.
The asylum-seeker, regarded as a pillar of the local community, his wife and daughters, were given just 30 minutes to pack a bag in a 7am raid on their home in Bedford Road.
They had believed they were safe for now because last month a Manchester judge granted them bail until June to prepare for a last-ditch appeal against deportation to earthquake-shattered Kashmir.
Instead they were taken to an immigration clearing station in Reliance House, Liverpool, and face removal to Tinsley House secure detention centre near Gatwick airport.
It is expected they will be put on a plane on Saturday to fly back to the Pakistani military regime they fled six years ago.
With Mr Dar, 54, is his wife Nuzhat - who has suffered a nervous breakdown - and four of his five daughters, Nimra, 20, Anzaa, 16, Rabyia, 13, and Farah, 8.
The whereabouts of eldest daughter Azbaa are unknown. She is believed to be away from home on a voluntary training course.
