ONCE again, it is time for that barbaric killing called "sport" to rear its ugly head. I am, of course, referring to hare coursing, which will be taking place on February 24.
Your coverage of the event last year proved to me and many other readers what a people's champion the ECHO is.
The government should ban hunting with dogs completely and stop these barbaric acts from taking place on all animals in the name of sport.
DESPITE backing Tony Blair's move against Saddam, I sympathised with the anti-war brigade's views, but not any more.
Their attacks on any other interpretation but their own is decidedly hawkish and nasty and does not reflect their so-called pacifist nature.
Should the slaughter and danger to the Middle East by Saddam during the last 10 years have been put on the back burner?
I applaud the fact that Saddam and Milosovic are behind bars. The scenes we have witnessed over the years because of these despots and terrorists are horrific and I would appreciate the opinion of Amnesty International.

REGARDING Mrs Lunt's shock at animals roaming round the cemetery grounds (ECHO Friday, February 6).
I have visited the Rice Lane City Farm since 1990 and always found it peaceful and well-maintained and the animals well cared for.
I am aware over the years, grazing areas need to be rotated so the animals must occasionally come in contact with the graves.
But better this, Mrs Lunt, than the vandals who over the years have stolen flowers and damaged the stone in my family grave in West Derby Cemetery.
