The grave usually has a bench next to it; however, after searching the cemetery, we found the grave but there was no bench. We also noticed a lot of headstones that had been vandalised and moved about.
Also there was a lot of rubbish thrown over the cemetery. My friend and I decided to pick up all the rubbish off the ground and put it in the bin. It makes me upset and annoyed to see how people could behave in such a childish way and show such disrespect. I am only 15 and I can see how much of a problem this is. Why isn't our council doing anything about it? Lynzi Fowler, Hunts Cross * I GOT married on June 24 and booked to get my hair done at 1.30pm. I had had this style done earlier at my local high street hairdresser and they had done it fine, but I thought with it being such a special day, I would get it done by a big-name salon. What a disaster, to cut a long story short. When I got to the Dior counter at 3pm, I told them I wasn't happy and they treated me like a star. One of the girls, Jo, said she had done a bit of hairdressing in the past and would do it for me. It looked 10 times nicer, at no extra cost, and they even gave me a goodie bag with samples. They had no reason to give me special treatment, but they did. Kailey, sales admin at Liverpool Volkswagen (full name supplied) * I WAS watching the local TV news at the weekend and there were only two items. The first item was the resignation of Beckham as the English captain. The second was (as if "by the way") two British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. And now for the weather ... That just about sums up Britain today. F R Hill, Wirral * WHAT is up with the management of the Midland pub? When there is a major football game on, they shut up shop and refuse to let anyone in who may look 'football minded'! I was turned away last Saturday for wearing an England shirt. It also happened to me last year when I was wearing an LFC shirt at the Champions League homecoming. I do drink there fairly regularly with my wife after work. Not any more! Tony Larkin, L15 * IT is time English Heritage and a few others stopped whingeing about developments in the city. Central Village will be brilliant and the only decent thing our planners have backed to date. J Drury, L4
