Stop animal cruelty

I AM a member of vegeterian international voice for animals and was sent a newsletter telling me about the inhumane treatment that goes on in slaughterhouses. Inside were the most disturbing pictures I have ever seen.

In the text, it read: some of the animals are skinned when they are conscious, which made me think what these helpless creatures must be going through.

If you want to stop this cruelty , visit www.viva.org.uk.

Animals have as much right to be on this earth as we have. Please help!

The amazing Kappa

IF ECHO readers ever get a chance to see Kappa, a stunning guitarist who's been doing the rounds for some time, jump to it, and you will be truly amazed.

On Friday Nov 26 at the Royal Court, what a gig.

The amazing Kappa is a musical history of guitar greats of the last 50 years and Kappa himself is a truly great guitarist.

I hope the event becomes available on CD/DVD or video. See Kappa and be amazed. Thanks for a sound gig.

Croxteth

Forgive us for Bush

I am extremely upset that George W Bush was re-elected as president of the United States. I did not vote for him and in fact half of America did not vote for him. Many of us Americans feel frustrated and angry that we are stuck with Bush for another four years.

I am very concerned about foreign relations and want to apologise to you for Bush's lack of diplomacy. I believe George W Bush is a very arrogant and self-righteous president.

There seemed to be some kind of hope with John Kerry and I think he would have led us in a better direction. I hope you will forgive our country for the next four years.

Lynn Anold,
Ohio, USA
