Just don't let any of these creatures great or small get in the path of the slavering hounds, wild-eyed horses or even wilder-eyed riders. It all just about sums up middle England and the Tory party. address supplied * I WENT out on December 23 just to the bank and one other shop. It was pouring with rain - no taxis at the stand in West Derby village - then one came down Mill Lane and I hailed it and got in. I had money in my pocket for the fare, so it wasn't until a few hours later that I realised I didn't have my purse. Imagine my joy on Christmas Eve when there was a knock on the door and it was the taxi driver with my purse. I was speechless. He'd remembered where he'd dropped me off. L12 * ALL people who use taxis should make certain you have all your belongings before you exit the taxi, after my experience with one cab firm. The lack of help, co-operation and response with regard to the loss of my mother's handbag on Christmas evening was unbelievable (her handbag was left in a private hire car). I would like to wish whoever kept my 80 year-old mother's handbag all the bad luck possible for 2006. I hope other young people considering going travelling in Thailand take a lesson from this awful murder. In sunny climes, it is easy to forget there is still danger, especially for a young woman on her own.
