Michael Shields celebrates 23rd birthday amid Graham Sankey confession row

MICHAEL SHIELDS refused to become embroiled in a fresh war of words over his Royal Pardon as he celebrated his 23rd birthday today.
The freed Liverpool fan went for a meal with his immediate family to mark his first birthday outside a prison since his 18th.
And he dismissed a Sunday newspaper report labelling Anfield electrician Graham Sankey's confession, which helped secure his freedom, as "worthless".
