Rafa Benitez: Liverpool must turn heat up on Manchester United

RAFA BENITEZ believes Liverpool’s chances of beating Manchester United in the league for the first time under his management will be boosted massively if the Anfield crowd can recreate the powder keg atmosphere of a European night.
Tomorrow’s clash is the latest in a long line of lunchtime encounters for one of the biggest fixtures in world football, and the Reds boss is hoping both his players and fans can rouse themselves to produce a European-style performance, despite the early kick-off time.
But Benitez remains adamant that the key to victory is in the hands of the Liverpool players whom he believes have enough quality to defeat the reigning English and European champions.
He said: “Clearly, it is always important for the players to feel that they have the support of the fans, especially on big occasions like this.
