FLORENT SINAMA-PONGOLLE is poised to leave Liverpool after it emerged Recreativo de Huelva are ready to discuss terms over a permanent transfer.
The French striker is currently on a season-long loan from Anfield at the La Liga club, who have an option to sign the 22-year-old at the end of the season.
Although Sinama-Pongolle has signalled he wants to stay in Spain, Recreativo have previously admitted they did not have enough money to sign the player.
But having agreed to sell striker Ikechukwu Uche to Getafe and midfielder Santia-go Cazorla set for Villarreal, Recrea-tivo believe they have the funds to complete the deal.
They are thought ready to offer Liverpool a package that could eventually be worth £4million, with Sinama-Pongolle having already agreed personal terms.
Sinama-Pongolle has proven a major success since moving to Spain, scoring nine goals in 14 starts to give promoted Recreativo the chance of a surprise UEFA Cup qualification.
Reports else-where in Spain yesterday suggested Barcelona have included Momo Sissoko on a four-man shortlist as they aim to bolster their midfield resources this summer.
The Catalan outfit were impressed by the performances of the former Valencia midfielder during their Champions League ties with Liverpool.
Valencia’s David Albelda, Atletico Madrid player Peter Luccin and Yaya Toure of Monaco are the other options reportedly being considered by Barca.
