Walker’s extra-time winner gives Sebastian’s glory

IN the LCFA Junior Cup St Sebastian’s triumphed against last year’s Intermediate Cup winners, Mariners of the Ormskirk League 3-2.

It needed goals from Neil Jones, Gavin Homan and an Andrew Walker strike to finally give St Sebastian’s the win.

In the Intermediate Cup in an all-LBH clash it was Mossley Hill who took the honours with Steve Owens (2) and Franny Evans on target to see off GRA with Shawn Dunn replying.

The Senior Cup second round games saw the Porters Pharmacy and Home & Bargain clash go to extra-time as Pharmacy came back three times through Strannack, Tagoe and Anderson.

Martindale, Mason and Nelson put H&B in control before sealing a 4-3 win in added time.

Another seven-goal thriller saw Norcoast Farmers lose 4-3 to Alliance & Leicester. Goals from Damian Brit-Ocoll, Brian Roberts and a double from Tony Cobain cancelled out efforts from Craig Mulvaney, Tom Jarir and Jay Brice.

Priory Villa took Premier Division side Obiter Fab4 to the limit after John Leamey equalised Joe Grady’s score but Jimmy Weincke struck late on as Obiter scraped home 2-1.

A Bobby Armstrong double and Steve Karvalas single gave Athletic Clubmoor a 3-2 win over Combi Bathroom Centre,

Neil Wenham and Paul McAnairrey replying.

In the LBH Junior Cup Lute Oakfield had Norton, Telfer and Weild on target as they beat Quarry Green Res 3-1.

The Minor Cup saw AFC Breckside surprise The Empress 4-3 with Donnelly, Roberts and Calvert on target.

Santiago took the honours at Mossvale 3-2 thanks to strikes from Cronikan, Naylor and Rice.

Steve Leahy grabbed four as JOB thrashed Quarry Green 6-1.

In Division One, Kenny Carr (3), Chris Calland (2), Flood and Bullen all netted as Rice Lane ran riot to win 7-1 at Regent. The form team in Division Two, St Teresa’s, continued their run with Hayes, Curry and Adams all hitting the target in a 3-2 win over Martini Transport.

LBH Minor Cup Round One: AFC Breckside 4 The Empress 3, Mossvale 2 Santiago 3.

Division Two: St Teresas 3 Martini Transport 2.

Division Three: The Patriots 1 The Hyper FC 2, St Pauls 5 Greystone 0, Fantail Ath 5 Larkspur 1.
