CALDY went down to Fylde in National Two North on Saturday, and will be eager to get back to action this weekend after a game of controversy.
Both teams’ discipline seemed to be lacking on the day, which was reflected in the high penalty count.
The controversy happened after referee Sharp awarded a penalty try for pulling down a Fylde maul within five metres of the try line with less than 10 minutes to go. Caldy spent the remainder of the game in the Fylde half but were unable to score.
