AN intriguing clash awaits Green Lane on Saturday when Ormskirk play host to close rivals Widnes.
Ormskirk have made a really positive start to the season – they lie in third place in South Lancs Cheshire One having won all their home games.
In contrast, Widnes, are in fifth spot but without an away win in the league.
The game is made all the more interesting by the fact that the home side were thumped by league leaders Wirral on Saturday, whilst Widnes were thrashing bottom club Dukinfield 90-7 in a 14-try romp.
