WEST PARK were hoping to lay the bogey of never winning at Darlington but ill discipline in the latter stages of the game denied them as they lost 34-19 in National League Three North.
The Merseysiders, with several key omissions especially in the backs, lacked solid defence at times and it was no surprise when the home side surged into a 22-3 lead at the break.
Park had a purple patch in the second period grabbing 16 points without reply.
