THE Bromborough Paints Merseyside Competition Lever Cup has progressed to the last eight, with the quarterfinals scheduled for next Tuesday.
Rainhill are still in line to retain the trophy after victories over the Merseyside Commonwealth and Tran-mere Vics but they will not be able to take anything for granted away to Division Two Alliance leaders Old Xaverians.
There are five teams from Division One of the Alliance left and two of them, Birkenhead St Mary's and Prestatyn, will meet at Ashville Road.
Moorfield and Sutton are the others left from Division Two.
QUARTER-FINAL DRAW: Moorfield v Parkfield Liscard, Birkenhead St Mary's v Prestatyn, Alder v Sutton, Old Xaverians v Rainhill.
