TONY QUIGLEY is the latest Liverpool boxer to hand in his amateur vest and head to 'Fight Skool'.
The Tower Hill ABC star, (left), has signed with leading promoter Frank Warren and will make his debut on the Sky televised Thursday night 'Fight Skool' series on February 26.
Campaigning at middleweight, Quigley and his trainer and father Tony Snr will make their paid debut at the Kingsway Leisure Centre, Widnes, along with a host of Warren's other up-andcoming Scouse stars.
It's a deal Quigley never rushed into, but he confesses to being bowled over by Warren and his matchmaker Dean Powell when he met the pair in London recently.
Quigley said: "I met Frank and Dean Powell in London and got on really well with them. Frank has a lot to offer any boxer, but he spoke genuinely and I'm looking forward to boxing under his banner.
"I always felt like I had a very pro style, especially in the last few years in the amateurs, so it was only a matter of time before I turned over. Now I'm just looking forward to getting my first fight out of the way.
"We spoke about me having at least six fights this year and I'd like to build on that, build up my experience as quickly as I can and make a mark as a pro."
Quigley is Warren's fourth signing out of the Liverpool amateur ranks in little over a year, and the promoter is confident that he has landed another star of the future in the former junior champion.
Speaking to the ECHO, Warren said: "I am delighted to announce that Tony Quigley has signed with me under the Sports Network banner.
"He will join fellow hot young prospects and Liverpool boxers Paul Smith, Derry Mathews and Mark Moran on the next Fight Skool show at Widnes on February 26.
"Liverpool certainly has a wealth of talent coming through at the moment and Tony has the potential and talent to reach the top."
