JUNIOR WITTER hopes to be heading for Los Angeles later this month, despite the withdrawal of Gianluca Branco from their projected European light-welterweight title fight.
Witter had been due to defend his title against the Italian on the under-card of Howard Eastman's world middleweight title challenge to Bernard Hopkins.
Bradford man Witter is now awaiting news of a replacement opponent on the February 19 Staples Center show.
Witter said: "I half expect these things to happen. Branco has rejected the fight so I will box someone else."
