And in 16-year-old Harriet Daniel they boast a junior national champion.
Harriet has already secured a staggering nine junior world records, with her most recent success coming at the 2006 National Flight Championship where she broke the distance flight archery record, achieving a distance of 199.85m. Harriet uses a traditional longbow like that used by folk character Robin Hood.
Another leading member is Emma Broxholme, who at 17 is a three-time National Indoor Ladies Archery Champion and also the youngest coach in Lancashire.
The club scored a string of successes at the Lancashire Archery Clout Championship.
The annual event was held in Maghull and included competitors from all over the country.
