Brian, who has 150 British wrestlers on the books at the moment and promotes wrestling all over the UK, is in no doubt as to Lisa's wrestling potential.

He said: "Lisa Fury is one of the top 10 female wrestlers in the country at the moment, she represents England against American and European ladies and is learning new moves from them all the time.

"The great thing about the 'Bigtime' wrestling which Lisa competes in is that it is entertainment for all the family, and is especially popular with the kids. It's the British equivalent of America's massively popular WWE."

Lisa is renowned for her array of technical moves including many different holds and submissions, which is hardly surprising given her martial arts back-ground.

She said: "The spinebuster is my favourite finishing move. It involves me picking my opponent up by the legs and slamming them back down on the mat.

"The Japanese strangle hold, which is where I wrap my opponent's arms around their neck, is another of my favourite technical moves."

Lisa added: "British wrestling boasts some of the best wrestlers in the world, including the likes of Robbie Brookside and Frankie Sloan who are both from Liverpool."

Lisa's gruelling training programme involves going to the gym four times a week and focusing on weight training as well as some cardiovascular

stamina training. When on tour she practices her moves in the ring before every event.

She added: "I'd really like to stay in the British wrestling scene and try to increase the profile of wrestling in this country, but if the opportunity to go to America came up I wouldn't mind going over for a couple of years to increase my profile."

The Wrestling Channel on Sky TV, which started in March 2004, will be showing highlights of the British 'Bigtime' wrestling. Lisa will be featuring in a tag-team world title bout, partnering South-port's Ashley Page, in an event to be held at Liverpool's Empire Theatre in October 2004.
