LEGAL secretary Lisa Fury grapples with much more than questions of law when she's out of the office. That's because the 21-year-old from Skelmersdale is leading a double life - she's also a wrestler who has fought hundreds of bouts around the country.
Lisa has been competing in 'Bigtime' wrestling rings for two years and most recently defeated America's April Hunter in an event at Chester's Northgate Arena.
She has been a legal secretary for three years and admits that a solicitor's office is not exactly the work surroundings expected for a semi-professional wrestler.
Lisa explained: "People are usually pretty shocked when they find out about my wrestling because I'm only little and it's not most people's idea of a normal thing to do in your spare time.
"My friends and family thought I was a bit mad at first, but they are all very supportive of me now because they know that I love being a wrestler."
She added: "It's really hard to combine my work demands with the wrestling though because we do wrestling shows all over the place, often in the south of England.
"It's especially difficult when I've had to travel home late at night and I've often got a few bumps and bruises when I go into work the next day."
Lisa, who specialises in convey-ancing and the processing of wills and probates at work, has recently graduated from two years of jujitsu training into British 'Bigtime' wrestling, and is following in a family tradition in the sport.
She said: "My grandad, Tony Fury, was a wrestler in the 50's and 60's and has definitely been a big influence on my career. It was mainly because of him that I used to love watching the wrestling on TV when I was younger."
Lisa is represented by Allstar Wrestling Promotions, who are based in Birkenhead and run by experienced wrestling promoter and former referee, Brian Dixon.
