SCARISBRICK'S annual Village Show will be a two-day event again this year.
This Saturday and Sunday (August 26 and 27) have been set aside at the Village Hall in Smithy Lane for the traditional show.
But it has something else than the traditional classes for flowers, vegetables and fruit.
On Saturday, children turning up before 10am can enter their scarecrow into a special competition. They can also win a prize in the children's football supporter competition.
Also on Saturday, from 2pm to 5pm, the Merseyside Gundog Club will be hosting a champion hound show with classes for pedigrees open to all breeds, as well as novelty classes open to all, with entries accepted on the day.
