VISITORS to this year's Southport Flower Show were able to probe Diarmuid Gavin and Roddy Llewellyn during a half an hour question and answer session.
Hosted by Debi Jones at the Victoria Park bandstand, queries from the crowd included how to keep white hydrangeas white, how to treat what seem to be 'dead' flowers and how to stop ponds from discolouring.
But things didn't go quite to plan when Diarmuid got caught up by television interviews and failed to turn up on time.
To keep waiting visitors entertained, local councillor and former BBC Radio Merseyside personality Debi sang songs such as Show Me The WayToGo Home, played games and made jokes.
When the session began, the Irishman and garden expert Roddy enjoyed some friendly banter.
