Design card for loved ones

CHILDREN can celebrate Grandparent's Day by designing a card to mark the special occasion on September 23. The competition is organised by Age Concern who will short-list six regional winners and a national winner. Each will win a top prize of a digital camera and Digital Image Suite software, courtesy of Microsoft. Entries are to be no bigger than A4 size, front cover design only and one entry accepted per person. Children must obtain permission from a parent/guardian. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT All entries must be received by 5pm on Thursday, August 31 and don't forget your name and telephone number. All winners will have their cards displayed on Age Concern's website www.ageconcern.org.uk/ competition, from Monday, September 11 where members of the public will get the chance to vote for their favourite card to decide the overall winner. Winners will be asked to write a special message for their grandparents to accompany their entry. Regional finalists will be announced on Monday, September 11 and the national winner will be revealed on Wednesday, September 20.
