"We've also got Faries Across the Mersey this Sunday and that looks like being a really emotional event for the Garlands team. It will be a well deserved party, a great way of cheering everyone up and letting them know that the future for Garlands is still huge."
John Cummings, one of the owners and creators of Garlands, said: "It was a big blow, but most of all we feel sorry for our customers because it was their club as well.
"But, if all goes to plan, within six to nine months Garlands should be back with a full refit."
The fire was a setback, but I'm sure it will only make them stronger and Garlands will be back, bigger, brighter and louder than ever.
Another shock story this week is the closure of Cream in Liverpool, but I wouldn't write it off just yet. James Barton is a very clever man and I think he will be back - in a big way.
