Not surprisingly, Reid was afforded a rousing reception when he picked up his trophy and was clearly touched to take his place alongside other legends.
"To play for this club was fantastic, but to become a legend is beyond my wild-est dreams," he said..
" I lost my dad two months ago and when I give this to my mum, she'll put it in pride of place in the living room and every time I look at it, I'll think of my old fella."
