ANOTHER frustrating Goodison stalemate and another Saturday night in with the prawn crackers for David Moyes.
In the build-up to this game the Everton boss had spoken about his determination to experience that “Saturday feeling” once again.
A weekend victory for the Scotsman is usually followed by “a nice meal out and a bottle of wine” with his wife, but he revealed anything less and he settles for “a Chinese takeaway with the curtains pulled”.
After Everton’s winless streak was extended to six matches at Goodison it’s fair to assume he didn’t hit the town. An afternoon which looked like being sweet after Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s strike soon went sour as John Carew earned Villa a point.
In truth the Blues didn’t deserve anything more as they produced a display high on endeavour but desperately short on quality.
