Joleon Lescott arrived at Goodison in June 2006, joining for an undisclosed fee from Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Fresh from being voted Wolves Supporters Player of the Year for 2005-06, Lescott was a firm favourite at Molineux, having progressed through the clubs’ Centre of Excellence, making his first-team debut at the age of 18.
During Wolves' promotion season of 2002-03, Lescott missed just one league game, before playing a crucial part in the 3-0 play-off final win against Sheffield United at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
However, following knee surgery, Lescott was absent for the entire 2003/04 Premiership campaign, in which Wolves were relegated.
On his return to the side, he was a regular presence up to the point of his departure, having accumulated 224 appearances in total, notching 13 goals in the process.
In his first season for Everton, Lescott's hard work and versatility have made him a key player in the side, excelling at centre-back but also providing cover at left-back and in midfield.
A consistent first choice for Moyes, Lescott started 36 games in his first season in blue, also scoring twice.
He was rewarded for his efforts with the Player's Player of the Season award.
Lescott has represented England at Under 18, 20 and 21 level and made his debut for England B against Albania in May 2007.
