LFC Weekly November 2: Glen Johnson still believes in the team
Nov 3 2009
GLEN Johnson still has full faith in the current Liverpool squad despite some poor results recently.
The Reds right-back is well aware that a few losses at such a big club will bring intense scrutiny, but he is confident things will turn around soon.
“People keep talking about us losing the title - they were doing it after we lost the first game of the season,” he told LFC Weekly magazine recently. “But everyone knows that it’s a long hard campaign and all we can do is take each game at a time. It’s a cliché, but it’s true.
“We’ve got a fantastic group of players here. Everyone has been disappointed with the performances and results because we’ve got enough about us to do a lot better.
“There has always been a belief that we are equipped to beat any team we face but a lot has gone against us, especially luck, and it has cost us games.”
The full exclusive Johnson interview, plus the chance to win one of five new Rafa Benitez DVDs, is in this week’s LFC Weekly magazine.
